I'm not a denim kind of guy, I like my comfy slacks, my cargos, and the lightweight hiking pants I've owned over the years. However, I have always kept at least one pair of "good" jeans for my go to when it comes to gardening, motorcycle riding, and other tasks. For most of these Wranglers worked great, but I found they stretched out in a years time, would break down (even their heavy 14oz) and just left a lot of want from a pair of jeans. I searched extensively for "heavyweight selvedge" jeans and was met with a large selection, prices varied by company, but I knew I was open to spending whatever it took. I'm a size 28in skinny in my everyday pair. I purchased a 30in, and it fits well, the tapper is not as slimming as a skinny but as a runner, I'm not sure a skinny would fit me with my calves in selvedge... These will hold up to time and years of wear compared to my last pairs of jeans that wore out after a few wears. The quality is amazing, I wish the heft was a bit more "hefty" as 14.5 was not as heavy as I had hoped. I plan on also getting their Made In Japan 4's whenever they come back in stock (hopefully soon!), which is a 21oz weight, same build. Overall, I'm keeping these as my motorcycle jeans and lax comfort wear for going out. The fades are slow, but well defined. The weave is strong and fabric well constructed. The break-in took about a month of 3 days a week. Not too bad and certainly not as stiff as others reported. 10/10 will buy again if the need ever arises.
